MAKE AN OFFER

When you have found a home for your future, the next step will be to make an offer. The Statute of Frauds requires that real estate purchase contracts must be in writing. Oral agreements are unenforceable by law. Written agreements prevent misunderstandings. It is always advisable to note in the written offer that it is contingent upon on an inspection. Study the purchase contract form you will be asked to sign. When you find something in the form you don't understand, discuss that item with your realty agent. Equally important, check the form to be sure it includes the essentials.
